CAUCASIAN RUGS AND CARPETS
The Caucasian carpets are from the areas south, east and north of the mountain chain of the Caucasus. Carpets, made before 1925, can be divided into five groups namely; Kazak, Karabach, Sjirvan, Kuba and Dagestan carpets. HERIZ SERAPI CARPETS
Serapi is a trade name given to better quality Heriz rugs thought to have been woven before 1900. The name Serapi originates from the village of Serab. It is also located in northwestern Iran and has adopted some characteristics of Caucasian carpets. #herizserapicarpets
