The following Terms and Conditions will explain how we will deal with your order and you should read them carefully. They can be viewed at any time by clicking the Terms and Conditions link at the bottom of each page.
The information on this website is given in good faith and Oriental Rug Services ® cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage arising from the information or its use or misuse.
Your Order
Make sure you have read and understand our terms. It is your responsibility to read the legal terms on our website carefully and to raise any problems with us before you place your order. This includes these terms and conditions, our security use and our privacy policy.
This website contains information about our services which you will need to know before you place your order including descriptions of our services.
The information about the services on our website constitutes an “invitation to treat” and is not a contractual offer from us which you may accept. This means that we reserve the right to correct any errors in that information without liability to you. It also means that in no circumstances will we be contractually bound to supply you with services on the basis of any incorrect information, even if that information is repeated in your order.
PAYMENT
Payment options include Bank Transfer or Cash. Payment is due upon delivery, with a 14-day payment window if mutually agreed in advance. Balances outstanding past the agreed payment window may be passed to a third-party collection agency.
CLEANING RISKS
We want to inform you of the risk of colour fading in some rugs due to improper dye fixation. This issue is common in modern rugs and carpets. We’ll advise the customer upon collection if relevant.
INFESTATION DAMAGE
We’ll remove any live infestation from rugs damaged by insects within a reasonable time. If any additional charges or time is required, we’ll advise the customer upon collection.
STAIN REMOVAL
Some stains may not be removed, fully or in part, with a standard wash. Specific stains may require a special wash treatment. The effectiveness of stain removal varies depending on the extent of the stain and the materials involved. We will provide the customer with advice upon collection.
Acceptance
You may not assume we have accepted your order until we send you an acceptance by email or WhatsApp message. Only if and when you receive our acceptance will we have a binding contract.
We will be entitled to refuse to accept your order if in our sole discretion we consider it necessary. If we refuse your order we will let you know as soon as we can. If we accept your order we will inform without undue delay.
Once we have entered into a contract with you we shall supply you with the items specified in your order in accordance with the terms of the contract.
We can only conclude the contract with you in English and not in any other language. The contract between us will consist of:
(1) These terms and conditions together with our terms of security and privacy policy,
(2) your order
(3) our acceptance. We will not file the concluded contract between us online and you should therefore print out and retain copies of each element of the contract.
Once we have entered into a contract with you we shall supply you with the services specified in your order in accordance with the terms of the contract.
Collections & Delivery
Collection is usually made within the timeframe agreed at the time of ordering. We will deliver the services back to you to the address you give us for delivery timeframe agreed at the time of ordering, unless otherwise communicated to you during the cleaning/restoration process.
We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation if the services are not delivered within this time frame.
For deliveries outside of the UK, please contact us at support@oriental-rug-services.co.uk and we will be happy to provide a quotation.
Item Storage
Your Services can be stored by us, on completion of the service, for up to six weeks at your risk.
Refund Policy
If you are not entirely delighted with the service from us you can request a partial or full refund by emailing us at support@oriental-rug-services.co.uk stating your concerns.
Aftercare
We recommend that all rugs and carpets are professionally cleaned periodically. The frequency will depend on the level of soiling, but should be done before soiling becomes ingrained into the pile fibres.
Data Protection
Oriental Rug Services ® Ltd takes data protection very seriously. All data is stored and treated with complete confidentiality and in accordance with the legal provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998. More details regarding use of data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
